New Moon is Wall to Wall Awesome

I watched my fair share of interviews with the gang from New Moon, and, I'm here to tell you, that is one uncharming cast.

I suppose there are cast members more tolerable than others, but, on the whole, blech.

And then, I found this interview with director Chris Weitz. Thank you Entertainment Weekly.

He's smart and savvy, gives credit where it's due (the cinematographer, Javier Aguirresarobe), speaks candidly about the disaster his last film was (The Golden Compass), and is refreshingly self-deprecating (he makes it clear that he is not Princess Diana).

Second, here's the full quote I sent them. "He said girls have been pushing the envelope for decades and he was compared to Brittany Spears and Madonna. I don't think taking cues from them is ever a good idea--unless, of course, you want to have the paparzzi up your ass for the next little while. And, it's not a bad idea if you want to sell CDs. All this nonsense about Adam Lambert's whole project being art is bogus, though. That idea is absurd. It's like calling Thomas Kinkade art. What a sham."

Let me be clear, I don't dislike the guy. I don't care that he's gay. I simply don't like his music.
