Yesterday when I saw a glimpse of the Judges mansion before the TiVo cut me short I thought for one awesome moment they decided to somehow spin off a version of the Real World or The Bachelor or The Hills, or some other ridiculous reality show involving a house, people and cameras. My imagination was running wild. I was trying not to think about what the nighttime infrared camera scenes would be like. Yikes. Instead it was more like the Judges playing the part of the kings and queens from the Chronicles of Narnia, presiding over a parade of people I’d never seen before.
Luckily there were plenty off bearded guys who could cover the part of Mr. Tumnus and a few girls that could pass for the ice queen.
Speaking of girls who are walking black holes of all things living, Tatiana managed to stick around another week. I can’ help but plead with the powers that be she doesn’t become the next Sanjayah. I can already see the fan girls and boys devoting themselves to her just because everyone else hates her. Although, I really am looking forward to the combination of her and live television. I mean, lets face it, she won’t win and I’m sure she’ll freak out when she gets the boot. I can’t wait.
I am starting to warm to a few other contestants. You know, I don’t really like things that are contrived and there have been a few obvious blind piano-playing troubadours before, but there’s something about Scott Macintyre that I really like. I’m not so sure about his music style, but I feel something good when I listen to him sing and I think that’s what it should be about. I think he’s gonna’ be a strong contender in this contest. Still I’m trying to get too involved yet.
I can’t really relate to this particular episode. I never had to go through it. But, they are back to the old way of choosing the finalists and first up are some fan favorites and standouts. Should be a good week. See you then.
